Thanks for the comments

Helen, I really like Smithville Lake out of all the lakes in the KC area. It's just so far from me I don't get up there that often. My second choice is Blue Springs Lake. I love fishing off the docks there. No only is the fishing good there is always a great case of regulars there to entertain and keep you company. As for James A. Reed, that's my spot I take my kid's and nephews. Going out to Honker pond I'm always confident that they will catch something.

    Maybe I will see you at James A Reed sometime, I like to ride my bike and hike there! I will let you know if my hubby catches anything this weekend. I mostly just enjoy the outdoors and read! lol

    I know the street James A Reed in South Kansas City. There is a little park next to Ohara High school I have seen before. I may just stop by and enjoy the next time I'm in that area.
